This March represents, for many, the one-year anniversary of COVID-19 shutdowns, the pandemic panic, and a drastic shift in how we live our lives and operate in the world. Since 2000, one of the core tenets of Balanced Rock’s curriculum has been to employ creative writing as a practice that promotes both healing and mindfulness. The unprecedented nature of this past year offers fertile ground to sow the seeds of vibrant stories. Let’s gather together with the potent energy of the spring to share and create.

“These weekly writing groups have been so useful during the pandemic. It is great to hear how each of us are experiencing, adapting, and being effected by Covid-19. It is also really nice to feel a sense of community, laugh with one another, and share stories.”—2020 writing circle participant
